Dr. Rolf Kozlowski holds a doctorate in natural sciences (Dr. rer. nat.) in computer science from the Technical University of Munich. Since 2020, he has been the Managing Director of our client, Gesellschaft für Raumfahrtanwendungen GmbH (Society for Space Applications). The German Aerospace Center (DLR) is the Federal Republic of Germany's research center for aeronautics and space. Its research and development activities in aviation, space, energy, transportation, and security are integrated into national and international collaborations.
In this virtual champagne reception, Rolf Kozlowski will give a captivating presentation on how the public debate surrounding the use of space for military purposes has brought "space" to the forefront of everyone's minds. Are we merely talking about a temporary surge in interest, or have we truly reached a new dimension in space exploration that—similar to AI—has become indispensable in our daily lives? What role does the military use of space currently play?
The presentation will immerse us in today's world of space travel and examine current challenges, as well as the areas of satellite operation, navigation and European space travel in comparison to the USA.
